A quick comment about NXT 2
If I’m not mistaken WWE NXT will be going off the air when Smackdown moves to Syfy this fall. Unfortunately I’m beginning to think I may have remove NXT2 from my must see list before then.
Now for the record, I love the NXT concept. I hope it has a future within the WWE. If not on TV but as maybe a web series.
Things could change next Tuesday, but for right now I’m just not engaged as I once was. I’m not saying Michael McGillicutty, Kaval, Percy Walker, and the others don’t have the potential to be WWE Superstars. It’s just NXT2 feels watered down and way overshadowed by NXT1 (aka The Nexus), and that is just not a good thing.
Where is the next breakout story line like The Mizz, Michale Cole, and (Daniel Bryan) Bryan Danielson? Which I might add was the best storyline on WWE TV at the time.
Do I really care who gets eliminated next? No. Seriously I have no pick to win the compilation. Not like NXT1 where I saw Wade Barrett as a front runner in close competition. Michael McGillicutty or Kaval, maybe, but they aren’t exactly showing a lot of personality. Percy Walker? Lots of personality and talent, but that shtick will get old very quickly.
Am I wrong? Does NXT have a future, or is it just going to be a lame duck show?
