Overall I enjoyed Summerslam. Except for one thing. No ECW match. This was the one match I was looking forward to. Regal vs. Christian would have been a great match, and the highlight of my night. Only the WWE thought it best to give us an 8 second bit of crap. Why did you even have ECW on the PPV if this is the way you are going treat it? I feel sorry for Matt Striker who sat out here all night long for barely 5 minutes of work. Hopefully he enjoyed the front row seat to some great matches leading up till then. I even liked the Kane vs. Kahli match. It was what it was and no more. What really killed the night for me was having that ECW crap precede Orton vs. Cena. It really made me not want to watch the RAW headline match. Couldn’t get into it at all. The three restarts and the fan run it couldn’t save this match for me. Luckily CM Punk and Jeff Hardy pulled a rabbit out of their hat, and saved the night. CM Punk’s win plus the Undertaker appearance made me forget all about the ECW/Orton v Cena fiasco. Well that was until I started writing this down anyway. Summerslam was well on its way to a near 4 star rating, but due to the above I can only give it a 3 1/4 out of 5 star rating.
